Ballet

The Art of Ballet is a dance form performed to music using precise and highly formalised set steps and gestures like classical ballet, which originated in Renaissance in Italy and established it's present form during the 19th century. It's characterised by light and graceful movements and the use of pointe shoes with reinforced toes.
It's purpose is to use movement to express the music and to illuminate human emotion and to aspire a multi - faceted classical form of traditional stories and contemporary choreography and  innovations that intertwine to produce the character of modern ballet.
Its also a weight - bearing form of exercise which strengthens muscles, promotes healthy bones and burns calories. Ballet uses the full range of muscles, its also great for cognitive function such as coordination and concentration.
